Disrupt the status quo. It’s a simple statement that tells you everything about our ambition. It’s about thinking what money could be, instead of what it’s always been. Thinking this way gives us so many opportunities to make our customers happier. We’re not like other banks – and we want you to help us be even more exceptional.

Post the Global Financial Crisis regulators are increasingly concerned about how banks can manage stress situations under their own resources and not rely on taxpayer support.  Banks are expected to have robust, actionable and tested recovery plans for managing these situations and, in a very worst, case credible plans that allow for their recapitalisation and restructuring.  The role holder will oversee both of these critical regulatory and board deliverables at least annually.  This will involve a pan bank, cross functional exercise to document our approach to a minimum of regulatory requirements and ideally reflecting the specific needs, risk and circumstances that we might find ourselves in.

  • Working with the business to develop and enhance the Early Warning Indicator metrics,
  • Assist in the development and document the Recovery Plan and the Restructuring Plan.

  • Working with the Capital Management Team, Treasury and the Business Resilience team to ensure Policies, reporting, stress testing and scenario planning are given appropriate considerations.
  • Building strong relationships across the Bank and the external finance community.

  • A professional qualification in finance, business administration or a related discipline or alternatively longer practical experience if non-qualified.
  • Experience of a Financial Services Financial Planning process or equivalent would be preferable.
