We have an exciting opportunity in the Digital Channels team for a Senior Digital Product Owner responsible for delivery of both new digital sales capability and the optimisation of existing onboarding experiences in the Virgin Money mobile app and internet banking service.  This a key role working within an Agile framework in the CDI (Continual Digital Improvement) Sales Squads and reporting to the Digital Sales Manager.

We create meaningful, and uniquely human digital banking experiences that are accessible to everyone and key to achieving our digital objectives to be leading the market in terms of our onboarding experiences, improve our digital channel Smile Score and achieve market leading digital adoption rates.

Day to day you'll be responsible for...

  • Taking the lead for all squads in the Sales Tribe, including your own squad, to deliver new features and optimise existing capability in the Virgin Money mobile app and internet banking onboarding journeys.
  • Defining, prioritising and delivering the backlog and roadmap for the evolution of the digital onboarding experience for PCA customers.
  • Ensuring the digital sales roadmap and backlog are communicated effectively to the tribe and squad members so they understand the bigger picture and the outcomes the squads want to achieve,
  • Working with the Scrum Master and other members of the sales squads to deliver tangible, prioritised outcomes that meet Customer and Business objectives and ensuring the desired value and benefits are realised from all deliverables, primarily channel performance metrics but also smile scores and operational efficiencies.
  • Drive sprint and release plans together with the Scrum Master and relevant technology teams.
  • Using customer feedback, user testing, market and industry knowledge to deliver digital sales capability that will truly make customers happier about money.
  • Liaising with all relevant business stakeholders (e.g. marketing, risk, financial and legal) to ensure the prioritised outcomes meet all brand, regulatory, customer and business needs.

There are a few essentials you need to bring...

  • Experience working as a Product Owner/Senior Product Owner in an Agile environment with an in depth knowledge of Agile methodologies, techniques and ceremonies, as well as experience of leading a tribe.
  • A strong understanding of mobile banking technology and open banking capabilities
  • A strong customer focus and a proven track record of delivering customer centric digital solutions.
  • Really strong stakeholder engagement skills. Stakeholder interaction and communication will be key to success in the role so you'll need to be experienced in influencing stakeholders and communicating changes throughout the organisation.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to tell a compelling story, persuade, influence and communicate complex messages clearly to all levels across the organisation.
  • Insatiable curiosity with a desire to challenge the status quo, think outside the box and make Smart Disruption a reality.

Point to note…
