We have an exciting opportunity as an ESG Analyst. You’ll be pivotal in ensuring we meet our Environmental, Social and Governance goal to become Net Zero in our operations and supply chain by 2030 including the following responsibilities:

This role in a nutshell:

  • Play a key role to ensure the Bank reduces the carbon footprint for suppliers by 2030.
  • Provision of support developing the supplier roadmap to Net Zero for emissions reductions, including modelling new emissions reductions strategies.
  • Support on annual greenhouse gas emissions inventory, including data collection, calculation methodology, emissions factors updates, emissions calculations, emissions reduction analyses, verification, and data accuracy improvements.
  • Support on calculating the carbon emissions for purchased goods and services for the bank.
  • Undertake VM greenhouse gas emissions footprint data analysis and develop insights.
  • Identify opportunities for streamlining and automating data processes & improve data quality and reporting abilities.
  • Collaborate with ESG data project on data requirements.
  • Benchmark best practices vs. peers on greenhouse gas emissions.
  • Baselining emissions calculations when necessary for Science Based Target initiatives submissions.
  • Support Carbon Disclosure Supplier Programme and data analysis from environmental data.
  • Development of supplier packs.
  • Communication with Supplier Relationship Manager and Suppliers and all relevant stakeholders across the bank.

To be successful, you’ll have…

  • High motivation, with a proven ability to work on own initiative within a challenging and dynamic working environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (this includes strong PowerPoint, Word, Excel skills).
  • High personal standards regarding the quality of your work.
  • Strong numerical, data analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work with structured and unstructured data effectively.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a changing environment.
  • Strong team player with good organisation and planning skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to influence effectively.

We’d love it if you had…

  • Experience defining data requirements and process enhancements.
  • Experience of knowledge management frameworks for example SharePoint, Business Integration.
  • Knowledge of the Greenhouse Gas Protocol.
  • Climate Change, Sustainability, ESG and/or CSR experience.
  • Membership of the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) or equivalent.
  • International Diploma in Business Analysis (British Computer Society) or equivalent.
  • Membership of the Institute of Environmental Management Association (IEMA) or equivalent.
