The Risk Systems team are responsible for managing and maintaining the Banks credit decision systems, provision of technological support to other areas of the organisation that are reliant on the credit decision systems and involvement in business-wide projects.  These systems are vital in ensuring that the Bank can make informed and consistent lending decisions within Risk Appetite, whilst providing a smooth and efficient customer experience.

Day to day you’ll be responsible for…

  • Leading the maintenance, development, design and delivery of Credit Risk system amendments to implement changes to the Banks’ Retail Credit models and strategies for credit decision and risk systems.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to support wider business initiatives in relation to the amendment, replacement or addition of new credit systems.
  • Liaise with 3rd party system providers and business stakeholders to ensure the timely resolution of issues.
  • Support implementation of innovative solutions, working on both small and large projects.

There are a few essentials you need to bring…

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-specialists.
  • Familiarity with the structure and purpose of credit models/strategies.
  • Experience working with complex credit decisioning systems in a change environment.
  • An understanding of the principles of credit risk and the corresponding regulatory models and processes.

It’s a bonus if you have, but not essential…

  • Knowledge of Strategy Design Studio (SDS)
  • Knowledge of PowerCurve or other Credit Risk decisioning solutions.
  • A good understanding of Retail Banking and products
