Our Team
A new and exciting opportunity exists within Virgin Money’s well established and fast growing Asset Finance business. We support SME and mid market businesses’ capex plans across the UK with our suite of Asset Finance products. Our customers range from small and complex high-growth businesses, through larger SMEs to those that have already grown to become the backbone of the UK economy. In this role, you will be developing your own portfolio of customers in their funding of predominantly hard assets.
What you’ll be doing
- Sourcing new business wins from across the region, primarily targeting companies with sizeable capex requirements for hard assets including various types of vehicles, plant and machinery.
- You will be an ambassador for Virgin Money, well known across the region and the primary Virgin Money point of contact for customers.
- Demonstrating effective networking, prospecting and business development skills in identifying and securing new business in line with financial targets and differentiating our offering from that of our competitors to deliver a consistently outstanding Customer Experience.
- Preparing credit documentation; demonstrating good pricing disciplines and salesmanship; documenting and packaging new business wins in accordance with short deadlines while ensuring compliance with our established governance framework
- Ongoing and productive engagement with internal stakeholders including support teams, governance functions, credit counterparts, regional and divisional business leaders and other front line staff.
We need you to have
- Evidence of consistently providing a leading Customer Experience is essential including the ability to deliver deals for payout within tight timeframes and a track record of on-boarding new customers
- A track record in meeting and exceeding new business targets including return optimisation across the target market
- A broad and established network of AF customers
- Undoubted business acumen and in-depth knowledge of the Asset Finance industry and its products
- Strong interpersonal skills and are a self-starter, acting as the business ambassador across internal and external networks and able to work with multiple stakeholders in deal delivery.
Its a bonus if you have but not essential
- A relevant industry or vocational financial services qualification. Further qualifications are desirable, but not mandatory.
- Some experience in upskilling and sharing best practice with peers.
- Experience in working within a regulated environment.
