Our Team

VMI has a small but highly focussed Supplier Management & Oversight Team focussed on ensuring the best outcome from our customers is provided by our primary Third Party Administrator FNZ. We are unique at Virgin Money as the only SRM function focussed on Life & Pensions provision direct to retail customers.

What you’ll be doing

  • You will review and assess non- CASS risk events (breaches) reported by the TPA for potential significant or material events requiring escalation to VMI escalated risk event process and potentially regulators.
  • Track remedial actions from non-CASS Risk Event closures individually to ensure that actions are being completed – e.g. best pricing – to ensure appropriate customer outcomes.
  • Track remedial actions from Complaint closures individually to ensure that actions have been completed – e.g. best pricing/ex gratia issued/confirmation letter sent.
  • You will interrogate risk event (breach) and complaint data for route cause trends and recommended remedial action.
  • You will be tracking best pricing cases (non-complaint/non risk event) from approval of the calculation to individual account checks to ensure the work has been completed and applied correctly.
  • You will complete a cycle of biannual and monthly TPA operational control testing and results reporting.
  • Conduct customer outcomes testing including Complaint cases, Transaction requests & TPA quality assessment frameworks.
  • You will review, test and assess TPI MI and data sources on subjects including staff competence, training & SLA adherence.
  • You will support the completion of additional oversight, controls testing, operational change and customer remediation activity as directed by VMI Management
  • Attend & support oversight visits to Partners offices (across the UK) when required.

We need you to have

  • A desire to see suppliers deliver the best experience to our customers.
  • Experience of controls environment testing in a financial services operational or assurance function where excellent delivery standards and compliant principles are the norm.
  • Experience of process quality assessment and oversight.  
  • A proven focus on customer and the delivery of customer outcomes.
  • Problem solving and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks and processes.
  • A willingness to learn and develop yourself and your skill set in fast paced environment.
  • Ability to work alone and as part of team to achieve challenging targets
  • The ability to learn and apply Investment & Pension product and process knowledge to a high standard across controls and process assurance tasks.

It’s a bonus if you have but not essential

  • Experience working with an RCSA structure.
  • Operational or risk assurance experience either a Life & Pensions or TPA environment.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry regulation including SYSC 8, CASS, COLL & COBBs FCA Rule books and an ability to recognise a breach of those rules.
  • Strong product and industry knowledge regards Pension (SIPP) and Investments (ISA)
