So, what’s missing?
We are looking for a Front End Developer who is ambitious and loves the techy side of being a technologist but also someone who will ensure that the customer experience is always at the heart of it.
We believe that collaboration is key, with Agile at the heart of everything we do. We aren’t perfect (who is?) but we strive to improve by iterating as we go. We’re looking for someone who can not only help us continue to disrupt the not-for-profit fundraising sector, but who can also play a role in shaping and making us better at what we do. Our Virgin Money Giving team work on a mixture of projects and BAU to continue to develop our product to make our customers love us. Our ideal applicant will have knowledge and some experience of engineering automation practices, with a thirst to learn about the DevOps practices of continuous integration and continuous deployment. We are looking for technologists; not just with a passion for technology but someone who also cares about delivering engaging customer experiences.
Day to day you’ll be:
Working as part of a multi-disciplinary Squad delivering work in Sprints.
Contributing to standard Agile planning ceremonies (sprint planning, sprint retrospective) as well as Daily Stand Ups.
Working as part of a multi-skilled agile development team, executing high quality code changes and supporting delivery on our Java application.
Delivering changes via a continuous delivery pipeline as well as being part of an exciting technical transformation journey
Working in fast paced and friendly environment where you will have the opportunity to learn, develop your career, as well as supporting an ambitious business with an exciting future.
To be successful you’ll need to bring:Previous experience of working as a Front End Developer and sound knowledge of the following:
HTML, CSS, JS (JQuery)
Experience of the Bootstrap framework would be good, but not essential
Experience working with Restful services/APIs
A solid understanding of Responsive and mobile first design
Cross-browser development skills
Experience using content management systems.
Testing and debugging issues.
Source control experience (GitHub, etc.)
Experience of agile, DevOps and continuous delivery methodologies would be an advantage

Point to note…
At the minute, depending on which team you are joining, lots of us are working from home. This is something that may change over time, and if so, we will come together in one of our hub locations, giving you the chance to meet your new colleagues in person.
