We have a fantastic opportunity available in our Regulatory Reporting team at Virgin Money. In satisfying its prudential, statistical, and compliance requirements, the team prepares and submits a suite of regulatory returns and disclosures to its regulators.

We are looking for an ambitious finance professional to join a specialised team in the production and submission of a portfolio of regulatory returns and disclosures to the regulator and the external market.

This is a great opportunity for someone to join an interesting area of Finance, working in an innovative, close-knit team where you will learn and have the chance to develop your analytical skills to support and enhance the bank’s prudential reporting obligations.

Day to day we’ll ask you to…

  • Production of on time, high quality and robustly controlled regulatory returns and disclosures.
  • Prepare appropriate insight and analysis supporting the numbers in a timely and controlled manner.
  • Prepare appropriate and complete reconciliations and tidy, logical audit trails for each return submission.
  • Support the Regulatory Controller in ensuring that the numbers comply with associated regulatory rules and guidance.
  • Maintain all documentation supporting the regulatory returns including Standard Operating Procedures, Framework Documents, analytics, and reconciliations.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the control environment within the regulatory reporting framework.
  • Providing support to other stakeholders.

To be brilliant you must have…

  • Accounting qualification or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Possess demonstrable experience in a regulatory reporting role with tight non-negotiable deadlines.
  • Superb analytical, reporting, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-Starter with the ability to work to strict deadlines and balance priorities effectively.

The icing on the cake would be...

  • Having a passion for working with data.
  • Driving continuous improvement of existing processes and identifying opportunities for automation.
  • Knowledge and understanding of recent regulatory developments.
