Enterprise Architecture :
Provide technology thought leadership by setting clear direction through the technology strategy, enterprise and domain principles, reference architectures and architectural contracts.
Enable agility by right-sizing governance with a focus on scalable, secure & resilient solutions which are aligned to the bank’s strategic principles.
Drive innovation, simplification & growth to support VM’s ambitions by enabling key architectural building blocks and supporting simplification of the technology estate, with a focus on the delivery of exceptional customer and colleague experiences.
Empower colleagues to make architectural decisions through coherent, reusable reference materials, early engagement, and ongoing collaboration
We're looking for a Digital Enterprise Architect to drive and embed the strategic architecture for the Bank.
What you’ll be doing
Supporting the development of transformational plans that articulate the sequence and timing of activities required to deliver on the strategic priorities of the business
Creating domain strategies, roadmaps, reference architectures, principles and contracts to build a vision of our future.
Investigating and developing high quality IT architecture options illustrating their relative merits and advantages
Advising the change portfolio on architectural direction, ensuring changes have a clear target architecture, principles/guardrails and regular checkpoints to ensure adherence to the technology strategy
Interacting with, and influencing, programme stakeholders to ensure changes are governed appropriately and follow the agreed processes
Leading the innovation and adoption of new technologies, whilst ensuring technology products/services are selected appropriately and in line with strategic principles
Providing advice and guidance on technology strategy, architectural accelerators, market opportunities, governance and continuous improvements to drive better, more informed decision making
We need you to have
A proven ability to lead, collaborate and influence across business and technology domains, setting a clear vision of the technology direction and guidelines to empower colleagues to create brilliant outcomes.
Communication and influencing skills, at all levels, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-experts
Strong working knowledge of shaping and creating investment options to achieve a strategic vision
Proven experience within a senior architecture role of producing architectural artifacts (strategies, roadmaps, principles and reference architectures).
Experience with IT and business architecture best practices and goals, including architectural governance.
Knowledge of at least three of the following technical capabilities:
Digital customer channels (Mobile, web, chat, voice/CTI)
Microservice, API & Event-Based architecture and integration
Customer Identity and Access Management
Public cloud technologies including hosting, containerisation and networking architectures
It’s a bonus if you have but not essential
An understanding of financial services organisations
Some insight or experience of architectural principles and frameworks e.g TOGAF/SABSA/SAFe
