Our Team
Data Platforms and Engineering team partners with all areas of the bank to deliver data solutions utilising new technologies and strategies that underpin the Bank of the Future. We’re responsible for developing key strategic data platforms that help support and drive both business and regulatory strategic outcomes
About the Role
As a Delivery Manager, you will own end-to-end delivery of data initiatives—spanning ingestion, integration, and MI/analytics—on Azure (Data Lake, Databricks, ADF/Synapse, Power BI). You will coordinate cross-functional squads, manage dependencies and risks, and ensure outcomes are delivered in line with our Value Delivery Framework (VDF) and data governance standards.
What you'll be doing
- Plan and drive delivery across multiple squads (Kanban/Scrum), maintaining an outcomes‑first roadmap and prioritised backlog.
- Run ceremonies, manage flow and remove blockers to enable sustainable velocity and predictable delivery.
- Own RAID, cross‑team dependency management and change control across environments (DEV/TEST/PRD).
- Align delivery with data architecture, privacy, security and RBAC controls; assure adherence to the Value Delivery Framework (VDF).
- Coordinate with engineering leads on Azure services (Data Lake, Databricks, ADF/Synapse, Key Vault)
- Provide clear, concise stakeholder reporting (status, milestones, risks, decisions) up to Programme Level.
- Champion quality: definition of done, data testing evidence, and acceptance criteria tied to business value.
We need you to have
- Proven track record delivering Data/Platform change in complex, regulated environments.
- Demonstratable background in Agile delivery management (Scrum/Kanban), backlog prioritisation and roadmap ownership.
- Excellent communication; able to influence and align senior stakeholders and technical teams.
- Sound risk management and dependency handling across multi‑team programmes.
It’s a bonus if you have but not essential
- Previous experience in leading in Data Migration/Integration programmes
- Working knowledge of Azure data services (Data Lake, Databricks, ADF/Synapse), DevOps and RBAC.
- A Project Management professional accreditation, such as the APM - Association for Project Managers
The extras you’ll get:
- 25 days holiday per year, increasing over time to 30. Plus, an option to buy more, giving you even more choice.
- Private medical insurance
- A highly competitive pension to help you build a strong foundation for retirement
- Access to an annual performance-related bonus
- Training and development to help you progress your career
- A great selection of additional benefits through our flexible benefits scheme
