Don’t settle for dull. Live a life more Virgin.

Our Team

We currently have an opportunity within our Chief Controls Office (CCO), for a Compliance & Reporting Manager. It may not be an exciting title, but it is an exciting role! You will work in the Compliance & Reporting (C&R) Team and will be responsible for ensuring the ongoing embedding of Consumer Duty across the bank. We will be the ‘central point’ to coordinate and oversee activity to deliver improving customer outcomes. In the wider team, you will also support the risk management activities within CCO and across the Chief Operating Office (COO), including attestations, reporting and SME guidance.

This role cuts across multiple areas of the Bank so we are looking for self-motivated, proactive individuals who have great communication skills and who are ready to make a real difference. This is a great opportunity to broaden your experience in risk management and build your network across the Group.

What you’ll be doing

  • Maintaining the banks’ Conduct Framework, Consumer Duty Standards and MyLearning content ensuring they remain valid, in line with latest emphasis from the FCA, and are continuously improving the delivery of outcomes, beyond a ‘minimum’.
  • Coordinating the monthly review and oversight of the Consumer Duty and Conduct Framework Dashboards. Collating, analysing and summarising customer and colleague insights to create a holistic view of conduct across the Group and drive continuous development of the Dashboards.
  • Preparing the annual Consumer Duty Board Report to allow Board members to attest that the Group are delivering good outcomes in line with the Duty.
  • Supporting the effective running of the Customer and Conduct Forum, bringing together the oversight of customer outcomes and driving action where needed.
  • Providing SME support to stakeholders across the Group on activities that could impact customers, such as product reviews, customer journeys assessments and project assessments. Giving guidance, challenge and escalating key issues and themes to the Customer and Conduct Forum with recommendations for discussion/resolution.
  • Coordinating clear, joined up and coherent responses to ongoing FCA publications and requests for information. Working collectively with the commercial, operations and 2LOD organisation to ensure high quality, bank wide responses.
  • Performing Conduct Framework assurance to test the embedding across the organisation.
  • Management of the Chief Controls Office risk profile, including control assessments and reporting.
  • Supporting the COO business with attestations and reporting, providing risk management guidance and challenge.

We need you to have

  • Knowledge of Conduct regulations, the purpose and intent of Consumer Duty and how to apply it in a commercial environment.
  • Understanding of customer experience, how we deliver good customer outcomes and how we support vulnerable customers.
  • Proven strong knowledge of Risk Management and Policy frameworks/methodologies and the 3 Lines of Defence Model.
  • Aptitude in producing dynamic and high-quality MI reporting and implementing robust governance procedures.
  • Knowledge of VMs governance framework.
  • Management of senior stakeholders and proven ability to build relationships and influence.
  • Experience in control testing/assurance activity.
  • Competent and skilled with technology, specifically Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Power BI.

Red Hot Rewards

  • Generous holidays - 38.5 days annual leave (including bank holidays and prorated if part-time) plus the option to buy more
  • Up to five extra paid well-being days per year
  • 20 weeks paid, gender-neutral family leave (52 weeks in total) for expectant parents and those looking to adopt
  • Market-leading pension
  • Free private medical cover, income protection and life assurance
  • Flexible benefits include Cycle to Work, wellness and health assessments, and critical illness
  • Ability to work anywhere in the UK (where the role allows)
