Our Team

Brand & Marketing is leading the charge to disrupt our industry and turn banking on its head. We know that money is a big deal – so much more than a set of products and services. Driven by our purpose we come to work every day for one reason: to make everyone happier about money. The work will be challenging and the deadlines sometimes tough. But when our purpose is combined with the right people, the impact is powerful. Together we can take on challenges and crush them, we can achieve wild success. And we can have fun doing it. This is an exciting opportunity to really get involved in the way we promote our business.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for designing and measuring strategic customer journeys and targeted comms. You’ll work closely with creative, data specialists, product managers and commercial teams to ensure our communications are timely, relevant and personalised; driving engagement and building loyalty with our existing customers. We have a big ambition to turn our customers into super-fans of the Virgin Money brand, and as a Marketing Manager you will be hands on in helping launch marketing CRM plans to deepen relationships with our customers – constantly monitoring performance and driving improvements.

What you'll be doing

  • Developing and planning existing customer marketing strategy and journeys, ensuring we balance customer requirements and commercial targets.
  • Ensuring campaign plans are driven by data and insight, with strong methodology and key performance indicators in place to measure success.
  • Evaluating and reporting on performance on a regular basis to key stakeholders
  • Adopting a test and learn mindset to always optimise what we do.
  • Identifying key audiences to develop targeted campaigns.
  • Helping us to improve efficiency and effectiveness – identifying opportunities to automate where possible.
  • Managing the end-to-end creative, data and delivery requirements for all CRM activity (such as brief writing, stakeholder approvals, build, testing and deployment).
  • Ensuring we adhere to the Virgin Money brand guidelines for all CRM activity.
  • Delivering all activity in line with our internal marketing and audit processes.

We need you to have

  • Relevant multi-channel campaign management experience in delivering successful CRM activity.
  • Knowledge, experience, and a passion for CRM techniques including data selections, customer segmentation and automation.
  • A best-practice approach to all CRM activity including personalisation and testing.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills, turning insight into action.
  • 100% commitment to driving our purpose and living it.
  • Red-hot planning and organisation skills, and a keen eye for detail.
  • An understanding of our MarTech infrastructure, and a dedication to get the most from our tools.
  • Self-motivation and a collaborative style of working.
  • An understanding of the relevant industry and marketing regulations, and data protection policies.

It's a bonus if you have but not essential

  • A relevant marketing qualification.
  • A proficiency in CRM platforms such as Adobe Campaign and Movable Ink.
  • Experience of email build platforms such as Email Studio.
  • An understanding of the impact of industry, regulatory, and economic factors, and events on marketing activities by keeping up with the latest trends.

Red Hot Rewards

  • Generous holidays - 38.5 days annual leave (including bank holidays and prorated if part-time) plus the option to buy more.
  • Up to five extra paid well-being days per year.
  • 20 weeks paid, gender-neutral family leave (52 weeks in total) for expectant parents and those looking to adopt.
  • Market-leading pension.
  • Free private medical cover, income protection and life assurance.
  • Flexible benefits include Cycle to Work, wellness and health assessments, and critical illness.

And there's no waiting around, you'll enjoy these benefits from day one.
