Our team
As a growing digital Bank, we’re on a journey to differentiated digital customer experiences.  The Data Governance & Control Team, within Data Systems, support the business divisions to ensure we manage our data ethically, compliantly, and efficiently to build the Bank of the Future! 

We’re a dynamic first line team, responsible for setting, embedding and governing the bank’s data privacy and data management compliance framework.  The processes we own ensure we manage our data appropriately to: delight customers with the best products and services; and satisfy our regulators with robust data reporting.

What you’ll be doing

  • Support in implementing a best-in-class data quality strategy, and control framework, covering the identification, assessment, management and remediation of data quality issues throughout the data lifecycle.
  • Support the business in understanding the criteria for a DQI and in raising and assessing the materiality of DQIs.
  • Complete and clearly document Root Cause Analysis on existing and new Data Quality Issues.
  • Provide remediation planning and support for remediation of Data Quality Issues.
  • Complete requirement analysis on complex data-driven systems and applications across the Bank's changing landscape including: integration; data warehousing; business intelligence; master data management; and cloud technologies.
  • Build and maintain positive and effective stakeholder relationships across the business.

 
We need you to have

  • Experience working on large scale data quality initiatives within financial services, or a regulated industry
  • Demonstrable experience of data quality tooling; databases; data warehousing; and Structured Query Language.
  • An understanding of ETL technologies (Data Stage, SAS, Microsoft Azure, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of key data management principles and practical application of BCBS 239 requirements from work experience
  • Ability to prioritise and work to deadlines.
  • Knowledge and understanding of DAMA framework.
