As such, we’re looking for an experienced Third Party & Commercial Senior Manager who can play a critical role in aligning technology initiatives with our overall business strategy alongside tight and strong management of our cost envelope. You’ll ensure TOCS Leaders and other key stakeholders across Virgin Money make cost effective business decisions around key strategic pieces of work, particularly maximising the value generated through the leveraging of significant, strategic third-party partnerships / capabilities to deliver efficiency, performance, and innovation (e.g. technology change and/or investment, third party strategy and framework and wider technology initiatives).What you’ll be doing
Act as central conduit for new engagements with existing strategic TOCS Third Parties for experimentation, innovation and service delivery across TOCS, Operation and CIO Functions
Support the Head of BM&C to ensure that our approach to partners and third parties and its ongoing management is aligned with organisation design and operating model
Lead the behavioural change required to maximise relationship and operational effectiveness of our high-profile contracts, working within the Commercial and wider VM/TPM governance framework of processes and procedures
Redefine / facilitate service reviews, Quarterly Business Reviews and other key meetings with partners, Third Partys, and some tactical suppliers in the portfolio to ensure excellent service and value for money
Work closely with key stakeholders across the Bank to ensure that the TOCS commercial strategy, specifically, third party strategies link in with wider TOCS and Bank strategic objectives and interests at all times
Collaborating with multiple internal functions; Finance, Procurement, HR, CIO offering our expertise when needed
Play an active role in budgeting, forecasting and financial planning cycles relating to third party cost driving cost efficiencies and adequately forecasting future expenditure based on third party requirements and utility as identified within the technology roadmaps
Understand and influence our Technology roadmap to identify and proactively help shape a backlog of future requirements, understanding overall TOCS commercial aims leveraging our suppliers to bring their innovation to the table too
Lead and motivate a skilled team of professionals who are our Technical Supplier Relationship Managers
Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous learning
We need you to have
Proven experience in Third Party & Technology Risk Management, preferably in a Senior Manager Role
Cost Management experience - Strong financial/commercial acumen with experience in managing and executing against large and complex budgets
Comprehensive financial awareness across, budgeting, planning and monitoring disciplines
Demonstrated ability to drive strategic initiatives and deliver results in a dynamic business environment
Strong assurance experience, recognising the requirements to ensure effective controls are in place, in a diverse cross-horizontal and cross-vertical construct
Proficient, working knowledge of IT infrastructure, Cybersecurity, and emerging technologies
Exceptional leadership skills tested in delivery of transformational change, including third party risk management transformation in a regulated environment
Comprehensive understanding of industry best practice Business Management, Governance, Risks, Issues and Assurance disciplines
Strong experience of identifying and resolving issues, mitigating risk and managing dependencies
Ability to build and sustain relationships at senior levels and with key stakeholders within the group, including executives and business unit leaders
It’s a bonus if you have but not essential
Change Management with a particular understanding of IT Change and Agile methodology
Qualified at professional risk management body level
