Our Team 

We have an amazing opportunity for someone to join our Credit Card Team, as a Credit card Team Manager, you and your team will primarily specialise in supporting our customers through their digital journey.  If you are self-motivated, enthusiastic, and ready to make a real difference within a busy team then we are looking for you!

What you’ll be doing

  • Leading, coaching and directing a diverse team with a variety of skills and responsibilities.
  • Empowering colleagues to deliver a customer experience that is right first time, every time.
  • Embracing and encouraging living A Life More Virgin.
  • Encouraging a positive culture and reward in line with Purposeful People.
  • Monitoring colleague wellbeing and ensure adequate support is in place as required.
  • Monitoring colleague performance and determine the training requirements.
  • Supporting colleagues in contributing to Team Goals and achieving Personal ones.
  • Updating people leader tools including Our Performance & Core HR.
  • Leading and promoting a Continuous Improvement culture to increase operational effectiveness.
  • Providing guidance and technical advice to the team, prioritise work and allocate resources.

We need you to have

  • Mortgage experience - strong understanding and experience of the end to end mortgage journey.
  • People management and coaching experience delivery at a colleague level.
  • Agility and adaptability to motivate colleagues to be the best they can be.
  • Good stakeholder engagement at all levels across the organisation.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills.
  • A passion for providing exceptional customer outcomes within every customer interaction.
  • Drive and the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Be able to describe short to medium term planning, focused on identifying capacity and managing resources to meet our customer needs.

It's a bonus if you have but not essential

  • Experiences of helping to deliver change.
  • An understanding of how to apply the principles of Operations Excellence.

If you're successful in securing a role with us, there are some checks you need to complete before starting. These include credit and criminal record checks and three years' worth of satisfactory references. If the role is part of the Senior Manager Regime and Certification Regime, it requires enhanced pre-employment checks – we'll ask for six years of regulatory references, and once in the role, you'll be subject to periodic employment checks.
