The team is responsible for all Procurement as well as Third Party policies, processes, and frameworks within the Bank. Virgin Money’s strategy of becoming a digital bank is predicated on third parties who can bring their expertise and innovation into the Bank. The Procurement team ensures that the Bank engages with the right third parties under the right commercial terms to deliver both growth as well as value for money. Each year Virgin Money spends c£700m with c900 third parties and it is vital that governance and regulatory compliance is adhered to. What you’ll be doing
Work with the Head of Digital Procurement and Technology Strategy to support in the definition of the overarching technology roadmap and strategy for Procurement and take accountability for aspects of the strategy that require enhancements to Coupa or integration with the platform.
Work with the Head of Digital Procurement and Technology Strategy to define and implement the Coupa roadmap as part of the wider Procurement Digital and Technology strategy, applying best practice and advanced methodologies and provide a future Coupa roadmap focusing on operational efficiency and maximising the value derived from the Coupa platform.
Work with key stakeholders within Procurement to ensure that existing processes are understood and enabled through Coupa, while also challenging established processes where Coupa provides the means to automate or otherwise enhance the process.
Manage the Coupa release cycles and review all functionality enhancements and make recommendations for implementation to the Procurement Leadership Team
Demonstrate thought leadership and act as a sponsor of innovation and change to enhance the internal and external reputation of Procurement and the Coupa platform.
Be responsible for managing and delivery of complex projects and / or strategic priorities in relation to Coupa / Procurement and adjacent areas.
Work with other areas of Virgin Money to ensure that architectural principles are aligned, and that any integration points are identified, understood and managed.
We need you to have
Coupa SME & Integration experience and experience of implementing in a Procurement function.
Experience in procurement process streamlining.
Experience of working in a large, matrix style organisation.
A focus on stakeholders and customers ensuring that the customer experience is at the forefront of thinking.
Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, through engagement and collaboration.
Ability to build and sustain relationships at senior levels and with key stakeholders within the group
Sound business acumen and judgment; ability to think strategically with strong planning/problem solving skills.
It’s a bonus if you have but not essential
Experience of working in a consultative environment
Experience of implementing other Procurement technologies outside of Coupa
