Our Team
We are the 1st Line of Defence Assurance Team, partnering with our COO business functions to deliver Risk & Control Testing, Mandatory Compliance Assessments and value-adding Assurance Reviews.
Our intrinsic purpose is to objectively assess and report on our organisation’s ability to manage Risk and Comply with Internal Standards / Industry Standards / Regulation, whilst driving continual improvement to enable Virgin Money to be the best version of itself in our goal to Make Customers Happier about Money.
What you’ll be doing
Leading on the planning, delivering and reporting of value adding Thematic, Compliance and Control Testing Reviews.
Identifying meaningful non-compliances, control gaps and opportunities for improvement.
Deploying the most appropriate assessment methodology and testing techniques for the activity allocated.
Providing detailed and objective substantiation for the findings you raise.
Acting as a vital conduit for spreading best practice across the business.
Using your skills and experience to make Virgin Money a safer and better organisation for our Customers and Colleagues
We need you to have
Proven experience in delivery of Assurance Activities across a wide variation of disciplines, ideally within the Financial Services sector.
A delivery focussed mindset.
Be a proactive self-starter.
Intellectually curious and investigative.
Strong analytical skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Be detail orientated.
It’s a bonus if you have but not essential
Professional Certification in a Risk Management, Assurance or Audit related field. (e.g. Institute of Risk Management, Chartered Quality Institute, Institute of Internal Auditors etc).
Experience in banking or financial services.
