Our Team

You’ll be responsible for a wide range of activities across Change & Delivery, collaborate with a diverse group of colleagues, so as you can imagine, no two days are the same.  You’ll have a unique opportunity to get involved in the reporting the performance of all Change & Delivery Programme and Project performance to the Change & Delivery Leadership Team, Virgin Money Delivery Board and the Virgin Money Board. Underpinning all the reporting you will work closely with the Delivery PMO Teams to ensure the individual Programme and Projects have quality performance metrics including project status, milestones, capabilities, risks, issues and dependencies.

What you'll be doing

  • Analysing programme and project data, across the entire Change & Delivery portfolio, and producing high quality reports, trend analysis and presentation packs based on accurate project data for stakeholder groups, senior management, Board and suitable for external regulators.
  • Facilitate and attend key senior management Governance Forums. Build packs and proactively manage actions/decisions through to closure.
  • Delivery PMO Analysts, Project Managers and Programme Managers
  • Work in partnership with the programme & delivery teams, offering guidance to ensure the programmes are adhering to Change Methodology Policy Standards (CMPS) within the Governance Framework.
  • Lead and drive governance and reporting process improvements to streamline and simplify for users, working closely with the 3 lines of defence.
  • Identification of knowledge gaps and training opportunities and lead the resolution alongside other PMO teams.
  • Lead trend analysis activity across the full project life cycle working with multiple stakeholders e.g. 1st and 2nd line of defence.

We’d love you to have:

  • PMO and/or Project delivery experience, using recognised methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Lean, Six Sigma, Prince 2 etc)
  • EPM experience, working with project data including RAID, capabilities, and status reporting
  • Day to day task management experience
  • Excellent understanding of Change Management Policy Standards (CMPS) and Change Management Framework (CMF)
  • Strong analytical, planning and problem-solving skills with an eye for detail.
  • Experience of reporting to tight deadlines, prioritising workload and delivering to an established standard
  • A positive approach and natural ability to collaborate and work with stakeholders at all levels across the business
  • Confidence to challenge and influence to get the best outcome
  • The ability to communicate clearly (in both visual material and verbally) in a straight up, succinct way keeping the complex simple
  • Insatiable curiosity so you can truly under requirements and the ask
  • The ability to quickly understand complex systems and processes
  • Excellent MS Office knowledge (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)

It’s a bonus if you have but not essential

  • Experience of working in a Central Programme Management Office or PMO team within a large scale Programme (with +10 Tribes/Projects)
  • Resilience to stimulate debate and challenge proposals to ensure best outcomes achieved
  • The ability to think strategically, and bring together lower-level details to help understand wider impacts for the bank, customers and colleagues across all projects
