We have an exciting opportunity for experienced Mortgage Advisors with a proven track record in sales and compliance to join our established and growing Team.

You'll be responsible for conducting in-depth customer fact finds to understand their financial circumstances and mortgage requirements on an outbound appointment basis.

Simplifying mortgages and helping customers to get great advice and guidance is what the team strive to deliver every single day, and we pride ourselves on the quality of our application processing for a seamless customer journey in collaboration with our Underwriting Team.

What you’ll be doing

  • Conducting mortgage appointments for predominantly Existing Customers to provide the most suitable Advice based on their objectives and circumstances.
  • Demonstrating a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in applying Regulatory policy and processes to achieve consistently good customer outcomes.
  • Putting yourself in customers shoes to feel what customers feel on every single interaction to build genuine relationships and rapport.
  • Self-Manage your time via a diary appointment system and package your cases to Underwriters in line with Clydesdale policy and process.
  • Assess and validate customer documentation to give an accurate Decision in Principle to customers.
  • Be consistently clear and concise in communicating to both internal and external customers, with the ability to simplify complex scenarios.

We need you to have

  • Full CeMap / CF6 qualification or equivalent.
  • Individuals must have previously held a Competent Mortgage Advisor role with another FCA regulated firm.
  • Great communication skills with a natural ability to engage and build rapport with various clients and stakeholders.
  • An empathetic, flexible and positive working approach to suit customer needs and business demands.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload.
  • Excellent attention to detail, ensuring compliance with regulatory compliance.

Full induction training will be delivered and is expected to be on a full-time basis.

This is a certified role requiring annual certification as described within the FCA / PCA certification regime.

Although some of our roles allow you to be based anywhere in the UK, we'll need you to confirm you have the right to work in the UK. 

 If you're successful in securing a role with us, there are some checks you need to complete before starting. These include credit and criminal record checks and three years' worth of satisfactory references.

As this role is part of the Senior Manager Regime and Certification Regime, it requires enhanced pre-employment checks –we'll ask for six years of regulatory references, and once in the role, you'll be subject to periodic employment checks.
