Our Team

We are a small team responsible for ensuring the Group has the capital it needs to support its strategy and protect our customers and wider stakeholders. We are responsible for a diverse range of activities from engaging with stakeholders across the Group to assess and quantify their risks, producing capital outputs for Group wide stress testing activities and supporting the Group’s capital management activities.

 

What you’ll be doing

  • Assisting with the Group’s ICAAP activities, helping to coordinate, review and produce content
  • Supporting Groupwide capital stress testing activities, including for Bank of England Concurrent Stress Testing, ICAAP and Recovery Plan Scenarios
  • Assisting in the production of management information and committee papers to support governance activities
  • Contributing to the modelling of management actions and other stressed sensitivities
  • Collaborating with a variety of stakeholders across the Group to understand and deliver capital analysis
  • Input into the Group’s broader capital management activities, including the setting of risk appetite, process development, compliance activities and assessing the impacts of regulatory change.

We need you to have

  • Previous experience in a capital related role, or other Treasury experience (e.g. liquidity, funding, market risk, Recovery Planning etc.)
  • Strong Analytical skills with the ability to articulate results clearly to stakeholders
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build working relationships
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Great experience with MS Office, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • The proven ability to read and interpret prudential regulations.

It’s a bonus if you have but not essential

  • Have or studying towards a relevant industry or professional qualification (e.g. CertBALM, accountancy)
  • Have an in-depth understanding of Capital and Stress Testing requirements in the UK.
