Our Team
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the newly formed Cloud Governance team as part of IT Service Protection. This multidisciplinary role is a great opportunity to engage across the Business, IT Development & Change, and Support pools to ensure safe delivery of Cloud changes through prescribed governance principles to our most important production IT Services.

Reporting directly to the Cloud Governance Manager, you’ll support the Cloud governance manager in overseeing and maturing the Cloud governance framework for onboarding, developing, and maintaining cloud technologies and solutions.

This is an important role in protecting quality of Cloud Service and managing risk, with the opportunity to engage across the whole of COO and the various CIO Towers within, including TOCS.

What you’ll be doing

  • Managing the continuous cloud governance process
  • Monitoring, evaluating, and adjusting cloud governance requirements
  • Maintaining a cloud governance strategy/process across all cloud providers to ensure consistency and effective cloud risk management
  • Responsible for highlighting any risks and/or dependencies arising that will impact the delivery of the bank’s strategy
  • Participate and advise on cloud adoption across the bank
  • Building effective relationships with key cloud risk and control owners
  • Maintaining the regulatory roadmap & updates that impact cloud governance
  • Aligning with VM risk framework & associated processes
  • Producing reports based on key performance indicators that show compliance with governance policies and controls
  • Keeping the bank safe whilst enabling change

 
We need you to have

  • Firm understanding of cloud governance frameworks and their practical application
  • Broad knowledge of IT Infrastructure, systems and services with a particular understanding of cloud technologies and their associated challenges
  • Knowledge of operational Service Introduction and Change Management processes
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with and influence diverse stakeholders across different teams and seniority levels
  • Understanding of managing operational risk
  • Ability to work autonomously and effectively, demonstrating initiative and motivation to find solutions and drive progress


It’s a bonus if you have but not essential

  • Previous or current experience in a Service Management and/or Change Management background
  • Hold industry recognised Project and ITIL qualifications
  • Understanding of Agile and Waterfall project methodologies
