The Data Governance & Control Team, within Data Systems, support the business divisions to ensure we manage our data ethically, compliantly, and efficiently to build the Bank of the Future! We’re a dynamic first line team, responsible for setting, embedding and governing the bank’s data privacy and data management compliance framework. The processes we own ensure we manage our data appropriately to: delight customers with the best products and services; and satisfy our regulators with robust data reporting.What you’ll be doing
Support in implementing a best-in-class data quality strategy, and control framework, covering the identification, assessment, management and remediation of data quality issues throughout the data lifecycle.
Support the business in understanding the criteria for a DQI and in raising and assessing the materiality of DQIs.
Complete and clearly document Root Cause Analysis on existing and new Data Quality Issues.
Provide remediation planning and support for remediation of Data Quality Issues.
Complete requirement analysis on complex data-driven systems and applications across the Bank's changing landscape including: integration; data warehousing; business intelligence; master data management; and cloud technologies.
Build and maintain positive and effective stakeholder relationships across the business.
We need you to have
Experience working on large scale data quality initiatives within financial services, or a regulated industry
Demonstrable experience of data quality tooling; databases; data warehousing; and Structured Query Language.
An understanding of ETL technologies (Data Stage, SAS, Microsoft Azure, etc.)
Strong understanding of key data management principles and practical application of BCBS 239 requirements from work experience
Ability to prioritise and work to deadlines.
Knowledge and understanding of DAMA framework.
