Location: UK Remote – with travel to some of our key hubs including Glasgow and Newcastle when required.

What you’ll be doing

• Design and build new data processes: Enhance our decision-making capabilities by developing innovative data processes
• Optimise our existing data processes: Identify and implement improvements to increase efficiency and timelines.
• Ensure data accuracy and timeliness: Integrate checks and automation to ensure data is delivered accurately and on time
• Engage in diverse projects: Contribute to strategic projects and handle diverse requests from across the business
• Solve problems: Address and resolve issues as they arise, and proactively identify and mitigate potential problems
• Shape our data landscape: Influence the future direction of our data landscape
• Collaborate with stakeholders: Engage proactively with business stakeholders to identify and prioritise needs

We need you to have

• Expertise in data manipulation: Extensive experience with SAS or SQL; with the ability to balance efficiency, maintainability, and simplicity
• Analytical confidence: Ability to analyse complex processes with confidence
• Self-management skills: Independently manage and prioritise your workload
• Code testing and review: Experience in testing and peer reviewing code
• Holistic problem-solving: Ability to comprehensively review issues and implement effective solutions

It’s a bonus if you have but not essential

• Experience working with Azure, Databricks, and/or Python
• Experience in coaching and mentoring colleagues at earlier stages of their careers

If you're successful in securing a role with us, there are some checks you need to complete before starting.
