We are starting an exciting journey to grow our team and this brand-new role has been created to support our Business Bank in strengthening our Credit Risk controls.
What you’ll be doing
Overseeing a portfolio for business customers who are showing signs of ‘Approaching Financial Difficulty’ (AFD)
Identifying customers either Approaching Financial Difficulty or in Financial Difficulty and supporting with the creation of AFD Action Plans and/or referring to Specialised Business Services
Ensuring quality action plans are in place and are being executed in line with policy requirements and are beneficial in assisting customers trade out of financial difficulties
Using data to identify and analyse trends and insights and make recommendation to the Business Banking Leadership Team
Representing the team at relevant meetings and committees.
We need you to have
Business Lending Experience - understanding of the credit risks relevant in a Business Lending environment
Credit Risk and Oversight Experience – proven experience in a credit risk environment within a first or second line of defence roles
Strong risk management Experience – proven track record on understanding risk, controls and application and judgement of materiality
Ability to reach independent and balanced decision - with effective attention to details and well considered rationale
Strong verbal and written communication skills – ability to create best in class, efficient and succinct reporting
It’s a bonus if you have but not essential
A sound understanding of the Banks Credit Risk Polices and Risk Appetite
Testing and Assurance skills
Rounded knowledge of the Banks core lending systems – eg BLP, eCRS
