Our Team
Recovery and Resolution planning (RRP) helps Banks prepare for the very remote but plausible severe shocks that may threaten our business. The detailed plans we develop are designed to ensure that customers and the financial system are protected, and that Virgin Money could be successfully restructured if necessary. Successful RRP planning doesn’t just focus on the financials and requires us to work with many areas of the bank. The teams’ objectives are to ensure that the RRP capabilities are designed, documented, tested, embedded and continually improved.
What you’ll be doing
Supporting development of the Groups Early Warning Indicator (EWI) framework which includes monthly reporting and enhancing the existing processes, metrics and calibration
Supporting development of newly identified Recovery Options and embedding changes to existing options where appropriate as Group capabilities are developed
Support Recovery & Restructuring testing cycles, including annual scenario planning test in conjunction with NBS colleagues
Develop and update relevant documentation for RRP, this includes playbooks, the Recovery Plan and Resolution Self Assessment.
Supporting activities as required to develop new Group RRP capabilities
Track & monitor the agreed controls for RRP and support team in developing enhancements to existing controls
We need you to have
An understanding of Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss drivers
Good analytical capabilities to interrogate and present financial information
Strong interpersonal skills with track record at building relationships and working cross functionally for a shared outcome
A naturally curious approach, willing to ask questions and share knowledge
An ability to work collaboratively within a team to support delivery
Clear, structured and concise written communication skills appropriate for senior stakeholders and regulators.
It’s a bonus if you have but not essential
Prior experience in Recovery & Resolution Planning
Prior experience of Financial Planning processes within Financial Services
Have or be working towards a Finance or Treasury professional qualification
